Project Hope: Humanitarian Opportunities for Peace and Education, is a not-for-profit organization working in the Palestinian Territories since 2003. Its goal is to empower communities and families by providing people of all ages with affordable English education, and providing opportunities for children and youth suffering from conflict and deprivation to develop their creative potential.

Project Hope is seeking to hire qualified candidates for its office in Nablus to head the new Community Education Center.  The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

-Person will be responsible for coordinating the activities of the program, including scheduling classes, and overseeing student enrollment.
-Also responsible for overseeing program implementation and reporting, as well as outreach.
-Must be flexible, willing to complete other duties as per the Director's vision.

Minimum Qualifications
-University degree, preferably an MA, preferably English as a Second Language and/or Teaching Methodology.
-Fluent in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
-Curriculum development experience.
-Organized and punctual with the ability to multitask.
-Able to work in a team and with children.

Highly Desirable

-French fluency.
-Background or interest in approaches to improve the mental health of children suffering through traumatic emergency situations. Strong desire to make a better life for Palestinian children.
-Experience working with foreign nationals.
-Previous experience in project management.

Program Coordinator, GAZA

Job Description:



-Maintain programme plan for all activities. Ensure individual project deadlines and targets are met to agreed standards.

-Maintain risk issue and action log for IMC programmes.

-Provide support and coordination resource for case management community rehabilitation and family/patient support activities.

-Liaise with partner organizations for coordination of activities and meeting grant requirements.

-Track case management, rehabilitation, and family/support activities to ensure that activities meet quality standards, are consistent with IMC requirements, and meet project indicators.

-Hold routine coordination meetings for all case management, rehabilitation staff and family/support staff.

-Other responsibilities assigned by the Supervisor.





Reporting



-Generate and disseminate weekly schedule of activities with input from other IMC staff.

-Provide regular (at least weekly) verbal reports of activities, challenges encountered, and project needs.

-Generate monthly report of all case management and rehabilitation activities with support from IMC data entry specialist and national M&E officer.

-Prepare for donor visits and any visiting IMC delegations (e.g. filing and reporting requirements) under the direction of the IMC country director and IMC Mental Health Specialist.

-Ensure that IMC activities are accurately reflected and updated for external requirements (e.g. OCHA database, TdH database, AIDA, etc.)

-Assist with the preparation of reports, success stories/media reports, and publications



Representation



-Represent IMC at various meetings and foster positive relationships with other organizations and stakeholders (e.g. MHPSS WHO/UNICEF group etc.)

-Actively participate in external meetings and contribute to working groups (e.g. WHO, UNICEF, TdH technical unit)

-Facilitate and actively participate in regular meetings with major stakeholders to share reports of IMC activities, discuss lessons learned, and plan for future activities.



Deliverables:



-Submission of weekly activity plans

-Submission of monthly reports of all activities

-Assistance in the preparation of reports and publications of IMC activities and outcomes



Minimum Qualifications:



-Bachelor degree in or Masters ideally in the field of mental health

-At least 2 years of progressive experience of managing programmes and project plans.

-Educational background or work experience in management

-Professionalism and very good communication and presentation skills.

-Excellent skills in building and maintaining relationships.

-Flexibility and high motivation to learn

-Experience in teaching or training
